Policies and Procedures

• Pup and Running agree to provide services stated in this contract in a reliable and trustworthy manner.

• Pup and Running cannot be held responsible for dogs that cause damage to furniture, carpet, flooring/woodwork, walls, etc. while walker is not present.

• Pup and Running cannot be responsible for dogs that bite, suffer an accidental death or escape from faulty fencing or from inside the home due to faulty screens, doors, etc.

• Pup and Running cannot be responsible for any complications dogs may suffer or actions of dogs while they are unattended.

• Pup and Running shall not be held responsible for the loss, injury, death, or actions of any dog that the client has let outside or has instructed the walker to allow outside while walker is not present. This includes dogs with doggie doors and outdoor dogs.

• The client authorises Pup and Running to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary during the time spent with my dog(s). The client understands that every effort will be made to contact me prior to obtaining emergency care. I accept responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care. The client also authorises Pup and Running to use an alternative veterinarian if the clients regular veterinarian is unavailable.

• The client will be responsible for any veterinary fees arising from an accident or injury that may occur whilst walking. The client understands that Pup and Running are not liable for the fees associated with these accidents or injuries.

• The client agrees to reimburse Pup and Running for any additional expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food, or supplies.

• The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Pup and Running in the event of a claim by any person injured by my dog(s).

• The client will be responsible for any veterinary fees arising from an accident or injury that may occur whilst walking. The client understands that Pup and Running are not liable for the fees associated with these accidents or injuries.

• The client understands that Pup and Running is not responsible for damage incurred by pet escaping because of a faulty collar or a collar that is not properly fitted.

• The client agrees that if Pup and Running turn up to the property but cannot complete the job required due to inability to reach pets, or lack of pet's presence, the full amount for that job will be charged.

• All dogs allowed off lead by owners must have an adequate level of recall, Pup and Running reserves the right to keep dogs on leash.

• Pup and Running does not diagnose, prognoses, or make therapy decisions, nor does it offer veterinary services. Any veterinary/medical concerns will be referred to a veterinarian.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations must be received within 24 hours of scheduled visit in order to be credited for the daily walk fee.

• The client understands there is a cancellation fee of 50% (of that specific job) if there is not at least 24 hours notice or for regular, last minute cancellations.

• The client understands there is no refund of services for services cancelled on the day of that service.

• Pup and Running Reserves the right to deny service or terminate service because of safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations.

Payment and fees

• Fortnightly invoices will be issues via email

• The client understands that payment is required within seven days of the invoice being issued. The client agrees that, should it be required, any administration fees for collection of unpaid amounts will be passed back onto the client.

• A late charge of $20 will be applied monthly for unpaid invoices.

• Pup and Running reserves the right to alter pricing at any time. Pup and Running will endeavour to give the Client at least two weeks’ notice of any pricing changes.

General Conditions

This agreement is valid for all future visits until a new agreement is signed. Pup and Running reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time, at its sole discretion; likewise, the client may terminate this agreement at any time. There is no term of contract for dog walking.
